I'm a photographer, artist, and tour guide from Hendersonville, North Carolina. I grew up playing outdoors and watching The Discovery Channel & Animal Planet, wanting one day to make a living traveling and being around animals. I earned a degree in public history from Appalachian State University with an idea of making educational and entertaining films telling important stories from history, but eventually found my passion when I began guiding near Denali National Park, Alaska. I love facilitating unforgettable experiences for travelers because I firmly believe that spending time in nature and bearing witness to the extraordinary animals and places on our planet allows people to become more appreciative and better stewards to our fragile yet beautiful world. I spend much of my free time embroidering natural scenes, photographing elk in the Great Smoky Mountains, walking the trails at Biltmore Estate, and listening to movie scores and counting the hawks I spot while out exploring WNC in my faithful little car.
